Danielle Bower is a versatile dance educator, choreographer, and arts administrator with a degree in Dance from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA and a BS in Business. She danced professionally for SynthesisDANCE, a contemporary ballet company in NYC under the artistic direction of Tracie Stanfield, and performed for various freelance choreographers and companies in NYC and Philadelphia. She has been a guest teacher at Steps on BroadwayBroadway Dance Center, and Peridance in NYC, faculty at Koresh School of Dance, and was the Artistic Coordinator and Performance Company Director at The Rock School West for over 15 years where she played an integral role in the development of the school’s programming. Her choreography has received numerous awards and recognition and her students have been accepted into top collegiate dance programs such as Juilliard, USC Glorya Kaufman, George Mason, Marymount, Point Park, NYU, and PACE, as well as into professional dance companies. Danielle also served as the School Programs Assistant at the internationally recognized Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, as a manager at the reputable Broadway Dance Center, and she has taught and set works for hundreds of schools nationally and internationally, choreographed television commercials, and continues to judge competitions, set works, and teach at studios, festivals, and conventions across the US. Currently, Danielle is the Assistant Director of Dance at the Grier School in central PA where she teaches, choreographs, and is the lighting coordinator for all performances. She is also working towards her MS degree in Performing Arts Leadership & Management at Shenandoah University to further her growth as a leader and broaden her mentorship reach for students wishing to pursue a career in the arts or non-profit sector.  

As a dance educator, Danielle is known for her technical and inspiring classes which challenge the body and mind by encouraging dancers to embrace vulnerability, connect to musicality, and discover what makes them unique as artists and humans. She has been given incredible opportunities to share her passion and talent with dancers all over the world and is excited to continue working with the students of Nittany Ballet
