Preparatory Division

Pre-Professional Training in Central Pennsylvania

  • Level C dance classes continue to develop the students' mastery of the fundamental movement methods. Pointe work and Men's Technique are introduced and maintained in this level.

    Level C dancers take classes in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Strength and Conditioning.

  • Level D dance classes are geared toward developing individual progress in acquiring technique, strength and artistry.

    Level D dancers take classes in Ballet, Variations, Jazz, Contemporary, and Strength and Conditioning.

  • Level E dance classes are for advanced students, creating versatile dancers with the necessary technique, artistry and physical strength to continue their dance journey after high school.

    Level D dancers take classes in Ballet, Variations, Jazz, Contemporary, and Strength and Conditioning.

*Placement in these levels is determined by ability and maturity of the dancers.

*Depending on enrollment in any given year we may break a letter level into numbered sub-levels as needed, i.e. A1, A2, etc.

PRE-POINTE

A full level-appropriate ballet technique schedule at Nittany Ballet is required in order to add a pre-pointe class. Students may advance to pre-pointe with instructor's recommendation only.

POINTE

A full level-appropriate ballet technique schedule at Nittany Ballet is required in order to add a pointe class. Students may advance to pointe with instructor's recommendation only.

Other Incorporated Disciplines

Nittany Ballet offers classes to student in various disciplines including jazz, modern, and contemporary dance as well as Strength and Conditioning.
